Have you ever wanted to free up space for a partition on your hard drive but were afraid of losing the data already on it? If only there was a way to keep that darn data.

Well with the new Microsoft Windows Vista you can do just that.

To do this in Windows Vista go to the Control Panel, than Administrative Tools, than into Computer Management.

Now simply select "Disk Management" your drives are listed here and you can shrink your partition without destroying any of your valuable pictures, music, and documents that are on it.

Select your drive and choose shrink or extend and input the space desired. 

Once you have the amount of space that you would like to have let it run and your all done.
